Posing girl

Posted by indikson

Okay here's another portrait by Sandun. Most probably a friend of his ;-). As always the drawing is flawless (although I think upper lip is protruding out a little too much).

This is another drawing by Sandun Jayawarda. At first I thought this was a drawing of a Bollywood actress. Later I found out that this is a drawing of one of his friends. This looks very realistic and professional. The capturing of facial expression, the dress, the lighting is just brilliant.

Intoducing Sandun Jayawardana

Posted by indikson

Sandun Jayawardana, a very talented pencil artist has given permission to publish his art on this site. The thing special about Sandun is that he does really good portraits (a skill I haven't grasped still). Posted below is a drawing of himself and two of his friends.

Prom girl

Posted by indikson

I am posting one of my drawings here after a very long time. Even though I drew some in the past couple of months I was not satisfied with them, so weren't posted here. I am not completely satisfied with this one either but as I spent fair amount of time drawing it and as it's the first one have done shading passably I am posting it here. Please leave a comment and tell me what you think of it.

L (L. Lawliet)

Posted by indikson

Here's Shakir's interpretation of 'L' from DeathNote. Not one of his best drawings but the simplicity itself is creative.

Salsa dancer

Posted by indikson

This is undoubtedly the best piece of pencil art that I have posted here. The features, proportions and light control is just brilliant. The shading is excellent and done with a lot of patience. To be honest I didn't think that I will be able to post something this good here. The artist of this call himself as 'smallone'. Please leave a comment as an encouragement for this artist.

Teru Mikami

Posted by indikson

This a drawing of Teru Mikami from the DeathNote manga series by Shakir. The drawing is really good but the thing is that the drawimg is poorly focused. He has focused (by accident of course) the object on the upper left corner rather than the drawing.

Priyanka Chopra

Posted by indikson

This is a drawing by another Elakiri.com member, Uditha G. This is one of the best pencil art so far in this site. Uditha has reproduced Priyanka's features very accurately which I really appreciate (and envy....). Although the face is amazing, he could have been more careful when drawing the hair and especially the shoulder.

Peyton's angel

Posted by indikson

This is the 'Peyton's angel of death' from 'One Tree Hill' TV series. This drawing was done by Shakir. The depth and the tone control is truely amazing. (But I think that he could have done a better job with the halo around her head)

Katara

Posted by indikson

A nice drawing of Katara by Yasiru. It would have been perfect if he drew her mouth and nose with more care. Never the less a great pencil drawing.

Naruto Uzumaki

Yasiru's got style. He had learned to draw by himself. He had not gone for art classes or anything. Learning to draw pencil portraits by yourself is no very easy. But some of us got born talent.

Prince Zuko

Posted by indikson

This is a drawing of Zuko of the Avatar cartoon series by Yasiru Senanayake, a good friend of mine. He has done a great job in portraying the character, not missing a single feature on Zuko's face, which is a difficult task.

If any of you want to contact him, here's his email address.

Ferrari 612 GTO

Posted by indikson

This is a creation of Charith Abeyratne (Cherry). This guy's got real talent when it comes to shading. Cherry can, with his skills turn few pencil strokes into a masterpiece. This is a drawing of a real Ferrari concept design by Sasha Selipanov. It don't know if it would go into production but the car, I must say, is a real beauty.

Ferrari concept car

Posted by indikson

I have not been able to post for a very long time. I am very sorry about that. (been real busy... well... sort of) I didn't draw this planing to post here. I drew it at school and gave to Charith (aka "Cherry") to do a bit of shading and with his magic turned out to be real good.
